If you have been following my case then you'll know that I gave my contact information to the lawyer to try and cooperate with KODA. I just got an email back from their legal advisor and he tells me that they won't pursue the matter any further as long as I don't break the copyright law again by making music available. This means I won't have to pay for the use of the music on dailysp. This is a huge relief to me of course. I'm going to miss running dailysp and sharing all that great music, I still think that what I did should be seen as a good thing from the point of the fans, the band, and the law. But at least the law doesn't see it like that. Not where I live. And that's something I have to respect now. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me in the various threads on the sp and zwan boards and in my guestbook and via email. I was in a very dark place for a while but you helped me through it and I appreciate it more than anything. And now I'm just going to sit back and smile because.. well I'm not being sued. That's reason enough.
he's lucky he's getting away with it, he's going to have to wait till they get some intelligent people in power, then again, if your intelligent you'd avoid being in those positions.

its good to hear, but it sucks at the same time that you cant run a great site like that anymore...all that is good in this world is always destroyed..but at least we have zwan!

I'll always be thankful to you for giving me the opportunity of listening to "Holiday" and "Cross". You may think I'm crazy, but I wouldn't have got them any other way.
I'm glad you don't have to pay, but I still think that the closing of your site is a BIG UNFAIR fuck up.

I agree. But I have to deal with it on a personal level and this could have screwed up a lot for me. So I'm happy for myself but still sad that the site ís gone. It was breaking the Danish copyright laws, there's nothing to do about it.
That's wonderful.. I'm glad you don't have to pay anything at all.. but it's still sad, and not right. I'm glad you're feeling more relieved now though.

Congrats Plume! I'm so glad they didn't follow through on the screw-job. Still sucks the site is gone, but maybe one of these days it'll be picked up again by someone in another country.

I would like to think it was my brilliant email to them. You know, the grovelling, the apologizing, the promising never to do it again . I think I made some good points actually. Maybe I should become a lawyer myself. Take the system down from the inside or something. Hehe.
It would be nice to see someone else carry on the work, but I'm not going to get involved. I've been warned and that's the end of that. At most I might pick up the banterfiles again. If anyone remember those. Much less glamorous but at least I'd still be doing something for the community. We'll see.
