As you may or may not know my shiny new digital camera is able to make video clips.
The potential for time waste is enormous!
I'll be posting the videos here. They will generally be pointless, low quality, boring and quite possibly offensive. In other words you really must download them.
A glimpse into my life. At your own risk though.
Some people can't play the avi files from my cam. There's an mpg alternative that should work for everyone.
I recommend the avi though.
If the link gives you an error then try a second time, the server is a bit fidgy sometimes.
If you can't get it to work at all then the server is probably down. Please try again later.
If you're able to download the clips but you can't play either version then feel free to contact me.
Maybe I can help. Or give you a in-detail description of what happens in the clip instead :)
On with the clips. Newest clips at the top, oldest at the bottom.
plume_050406_kidsanimals.mov 2,71mb
I made this clip on the top of a little hill.
It features lots of animals and kids.
The goats, Mads & Mathilde and little Magnet.
The sheep and her two lambs, Black and White.
And the clip ends with Mathilde coming up to sniff my hands. Sweetness.
_ _ _ plume_050401_magnet.mov 3,18mb
A little cuddle time with Magnet, the wonderful goat kid. You gotta love him.
_ _ _ plume_050329_mathilde.avi 1,79mb
This is a video of Mathilde. Formerly known as Kees. And also the mother of the wonderful Magnet (look for the videos of him below).
Mathilde is a very sweet goat. And a shy one. She's not completely tame.
And this video is a typical Mathilde situation. You careful approach her and hope she will come up to you.
Don't come too close. It's sweet though. With a little carefulness you can still bond with her.
_ _ _ plume_050329_mads.avi 3,49mb
This is a video of Mads. Formerly known as Blackie.
And this is typical Mads. He sees you. He comes up to you. He wants food!
And if you're not offering food then he tries to eat your coat or your bag.
Or whatever else you may have ready. But he's a lovely goat, tons of fun. I always give him a good, hardy cuddle.
_ _ _ plume_050323_magnet.avi 3,91mb
Plume videos, now with thumbnails! What a revolution.
This is Magnet again.
The cutest baby goat ever.
A little more up and close. And also sniffing at my shoes. Like a little goat puppy.
_ _ _ plume_050323_babysheepies.avi 8,05mb
And here we have two little baby sheepies.
A black and a white one. In perfect harmony.
Jumping and frolicking, like little lambs should.
Aren't they sweet and fun?
_ _ _ plume_050322_magnetmathilde.avi 4,59mb
This is a video of the wonderful Magnet. A little goat kid. And its mother, Mathilde.
You can read more about Magnet and see pictures here.
I really have fallen in love with him. He's a wonder. And he's less than a week old here.
_ _ _ plume_050326_playground.avi 11,1mb
This is a pretty boring video. Feel free to skip it.
Just a walkthrough of the local playground. Where I go to see the animals.
There are no animals in the clip though. Playground was closed that day. And foggy.
The long stretch on the left is where the horses usually are.
And the smaller enclosure on the right is where the sheep go.
Mads and Mathilde just usually walk around wherever they fancy.
_ _ _ plume_040728_esterknuderik.avi 1,56mb plume_040728_lars.avi 1,04mb plume_040804_lene.MOV 1,31mb
Three movies from my workplace. The Reva center.
Isn't that a Blur song? "This is my workplace. And these are the people I work with"..
The first one is Ester and Knud Erik having fun with Knud Erik's camera. Don't point that thing at me!
The second one is Lars, the montage leader guy.
He's not a fan of cameras, he quickly turns around and leaves.
And the last one if the other montage leader, Lene. Always plenty of things to pack.
plume_040703_goal.MOV 3,52mb plume_040703_ultimadragon.MOV 3,62mb
A guide to computer games, by Plume.
I thought that while the summer vacation was casting us all into boredom I would show you a couple of my favourite games.
Because THAT'S exciting!
Right.
The first is a game called Goal. From circa 1992. I still play it to this day.
The best football game ever. It kicked Kick Off's ass. And don't give me any of this 3D nonsense, Goal is where it's at.
The clip shows a slomo replay of a great Brøndby goal scored by Matias Jonson.
If we don't count sports games then my favourite computer games are the Ultima series.
The second clip today is from Ultima 9: Ascension. Not the best Ultima by far. But very pretty.
I know I have already posted clips from it but I thought I'd show you a fierce dragon too.
Flying and firebreathing and everything.
EXCITING STUFF!!!
plume_040705_feedingfrenzy.MOV 2,89mb plume_040705_blackiefence.MOV 2,72mb
Again with the goats and sheep.
The first one is aptly titled 'feedingfrenzy'. This is what happens when you pull out bread around these guys.
Everybody wants a piece of it. Mother Goat and one of the sheep almost get in a fight over it.
But there's enough for everyone of course.
Second movie is that adorable little prankster, Blackie. You know you're in trouble when he's around!
That guy is nuts hehe. No fence can hold him in. He just jumped up on it to get to the good leaves on the tree.
Amazing. And he wasn't just standing on the fence, he was walking around on it. Like an acrobat on a tightrope.
He is always a ton of fun.
plume_040616_blackie.MOV 2,66mb plume_040622_mothergoat.MOV 2,66mb
Videos of animals still make me happy, in case you wondered.
These are the first videos made with my brandspankingnew camera.
Both videos made at the playground near Favorit, where I do most of my shopping.
Lots of animals there. Goats and sheep. The first movie is of Blackie, my favourite little goat in the world.
He's adorable, and always seems happy to see me. Isn't he great?
The second movie is the artist formerly known as Father Goat. Now known as Mother Goat.
You can see me backing off when she approaches, she was still intimidating me a little. that was before she ate from my hand.
The clip starts off with her on top of her little hill, I think she likes to stand there and watch the flock.
I love those goats.
plume_040509_yard.avi (mpg) 7,26mb - 4,96mb
A catseye view of my back yard. Running around in the grass, just before it got cut.
You can see the clothes hanging on the line. And our young apple tree in the center.
plume_040504_gym.avi (mpg) 6,96mb - 11,7mb
Another visit to the Reva center. This time downstairs.
Starting out in the guy's locker room (Yes, I know you girls are excited now!).
A stop at Gillian the physio's office. And then into the gym.
A small gym, nothing spectacular.
And then you get a look at me in the mirror. Count yourself lucky.
Or not. Just call me the darkness.
plume_040429_revacenterIT.avi (mpg) 5,68mb - 8,56mb
A little visit at the Reva center where I work.
This is the upstairs department. A walk through the corridor.
A stop at Charlotte, the psych's office.
And then into the computer room. A look at my computer in the corner.
And the nice view outside.
plume_040423_mrbunnysback.avi (mpg) 5,59mb - 3,64mb
Amazingly enough Mr Bunny has returned!
There is a video clip somewhere lower on this page of him.
Shortly after that was taken he disappeared. Nowhere to be seen for more than a year.
And then suddenly one day, out of the blue. There he was again.
I love Mr Bunny. What a pretty rabbit.
plume_031222_byebarn.avi 19,3mb
My farewell video to the Barn. Shot on my last day of work.
Set to music.
Away with everything that holds you safe.
Sentimental drivel :)
plume_031219_cafersallaayhan.avi 3,34
Just a little clip of the Turkish mob at the Barn, hehe.
Cafer, Salla and Ayhan discussing worldly matters.
plume_031215_lucky1.avi (mpg) 834kb - 1,22mb plume_031215_lucky2.avi (mpg) 3,78mb - 5,42mb
The latest Lucky videos. Lucky the wonderdog.
Clip one features him looking adorably up in the camera while I give him a cuddle. Aw.
Clip two features him walking around a little. Dragging his leash. And sitting down in front of the exit door.
Methinks he wanted to go for a walk.
Spot the edit!
He's such a sweet, sweet dog. The lovely little bastard.
plume_031212_carstenhjorth.avi (mpg) 15,7mb - 17,8mb
This is a very rare thing indeed. A TV filming.
Local bigshot reporter Carsten Hjorth came with his cameraman to do a feature about the Barn.
Unfortunately they are a bit in the background so it can be hard to see what's going on.
I recommend zooming in on it. (alt-3 on windows media player).
Bigger picture, grainier quality. But you can see it better that way I think.
It's our foreman Esben who is getting interiewed and showing Carsten around.
A funny little look behind the scenes of a tv shoot.
With Tam cleaning in the foreground at one point.
plume_031211_kaffe2.avi (mpg) 4,84mb - 6,64mb
This is a continuation of the previous one.
The same persons. Bent the boss and Finn Jokemeister have joined us at the table.
Johnny and Ahmad get up. So does Bent, he goes and closes a door.
Notice the nice christmas decorations. What a holly time.
plume_031211_kaffe1.avi (mpg) 3,48mb - 4,66mb
Coffee time!
Every day at 10 o'clock all the people gather around the table for coffee.
It's more like late breakfast or brunch though.
Some of us don't even drink coffee.
Tam is still putting some things on the table.
Karen is sitting in her red shirt. Later on she waves at the camera.
I go and sit down in my usual spot in the corner, next to Cafer.
That has been the arrangement for years. Next to Cafer sits Ahmad, the al aqsa cola quy.
On the other side of the table Tam sits down next to Johnny with the pony tail.
And Bent, Finn and Ayhan hover in the background.
Fun times!
plume_031211_caferbazar.avi (mpg) 8,38mb - 8,34mb
This is me trailing in the footsteps of Cafer. Through Bazar Vest.
Where we always buy vegetables on Tuesdays.
You'll notice Cafer's greetings to people we pass by.
A friendly man with lots of friends.
plume_031209_tourdebarn.avi (mpg) 24,5mb - 32,1mb
This is the grand tour of my workplace. The famous Barn. Tousgaardsladen.
From outside in the parking lot and all the way through and back out.
See the coffee room. See the big hall. See the back room with the sturdy metal door to the soda room.
I spent years in this place. A walk down memory lane.
plume_031209_bentkarentamayhan.avi (mpg) 2,8mb - 3,15mb
A little shot from work.
Featuring Bent the boss, Karen the kitchenwoman and Tam the cleanerlady at my table.
At the next table it's Ayhan.
And behind him it's the parrot club.
A gang of (mostly) senior citizens who come in and have breakfast every Tuesday.
They talk a lot. Hence the parrot club.
plume_031027_luckythedog.avi (mpg) 10,2mb - 11,3mb
This is the best video ever. Almost. It's a bit big but I think it's worth it.
And no divx5.1 or logo this time.
It's the second video of Lucky, the wonderdog. It features him in wonderful doggie play.
With Karen and Peter. And the guy at the end with the smiley bag is Svend, the owner.
I dare you to watch this and not smile. It makes me happy.
plume_031023_fallingleaves.avi (mpg) 1,87mb - 2,59mb
This one is a little complicated. You will need DivX5.1 to play the avi. And possibly the mpg too.
And I apologize for the logo. But I don't like my shadow
so I thought it was a good time to fiddle with that a little.
But the movie itself is simply falling leaves from the trees.
Exciting!
plume_031004_u9chicken.avi (mpg) 2,8mb - 2,84mb
Landor the Avatar goes to the country.
There are chickens in Britannia too.
Cute little plucking chickens.
plume_031004_u9stonegate.avi (mpg) 2,99mb - 2,97mb
Landor the Avatar visits the towering tower of Stonegate.
Don't fall off that cliff now!
plume_031004_u9swimming.avi (mpg) 12,9mb - 12,9mb
Landor the Avatar goes exploring in Britannia.
Ultima IX: Ascension is the name of the game.
Nice 3D exploration. There is something soothing about walking in the woods.
Looking at the farmer's pigs.
Taking a swim in the river.
plume_030924_lucky.avi (mpg) 4,28mb - 4,40mb
Another cute animal.
This is puppy dog Lucky. The second cutest dog I ever did see.
Adorable and playful and tiny and sweet and very well behaved.
And spot the subtle edit!
plume_030920_cat1.avi (mpg) 2,6mb - 1,92mb
The first of 3 videos of Mrs Acrobat Cat.
You can read about her adventures in this entry.
In this one I'm dangling a piece of thread in front of her.
You know that's going to have hilarious consequences with a cat.
I especially like her expression when I pull it away in the end:
"What?!? What?!? Where'd it go?!? Huh? Huh?"
You can see the little tray with milk, she just finished drinking.
plume_030920_cat2.avi (mpg) 7,72mb - 5,54mb
This is the biggest of the 3 videos of Mrs Acrobat Cat. But it's also very cute.
You get to see her walk around for a little. And act like a cute kitty.
Before she walks under some branches and makes herself comforable again.
Very laid back cat.
plume_030920_cat3.avi (mpg) 1,8mb - 1,55mb
The third and final video of Mrs Acrobat Cat.
This one demonstrates her amazing tigerlike jump.
Although horizontal. Not quite as impressive as a vertical one.
But still. What an agile and acrobatic cat she is.
She's not very good at hiding behind plants though.
plume_030731_dance_of_the_butterflies (mpg) 1,39mb - 1,51mb
Dance of the Butterflies.
Working title: Chasing Butterflies.
I wanted to make a video of a butterfly.
And just like with the busses, two came along.
It's a nice little airborn dance they do.
The quality is poor, of course.
It was so bright that I couldn't even see
if I was filming the right place.
But at least I pulled off the hip shaking camera movement. Hah.
plume_vacatmov4_sacha.avi (mpg) 2,12mb - 2,26mb
Awww!
This should make everyone smile.
Sacha, the most beautiful dog in the world.
I love him. He's so cute and smart and pretty.
Perfect little guy.
plume_vacatmov3_skyeswing.avi (mpg) 1,95mb - 1,13mb
My lovely Skye.
Swinging on the swings close to our bungalow.
They were very old and full of memories.
Too old for me to use, I think.
But Skye is light as a feather.
She's my little bunny.
plume_vacatmov1_chickens.avi (mpg) 1,81mb - 1,85mb
These are the famous chickens that came and visited us all the time.
I'm sure they loved us as much as we loved them.
Or at the very least they loved all the bread we gave them.
Notice the shy one who always stayed a little back.
I miss our chickens.
plume_030608_adventures_of_a_bird.avi (mpg) 6,32mb - 5,15mb
How to recognise different types of birds from quite a long way away.
Number 1.
The solsort (blackbird).
plume_030508_windowview.avi (mpg) 2,08mb - 3,11mb
This is the view from my kitchen window.
20 seconds of trees swaying in the wind.
In the distance.
Kind of boring, really.
At least you can't accuse me of false advertising.
plume_030318_bazarvest.avi (mpg) 4,78mb - 4,87mb
This is the Bazar. Bazar Vest. A multi cultural sort of mall I guess.
The vegetable market section anyway.
Where Cafer and I buy vegetables for the barn once or twice a week.
If it seems like I'm in too much of a hurry then it's because of my dislike
of people. Too many of them around. And this was a slow day in the bazar even.
plume_030308_peterbrother.avi (mpg) 1,75mb - 1,96mb
My lovely brother.
Popping out for a quick fag.
You can tell he's thrilled that I'm pointing my camera at him.
I feel like a paparazzi. "GET THAT CAMERA OUT OF HERE!"
plume_030303_cafer.avi (mpg) 3,12mb - 3,73mb
My workmate Cafer, the stout Turk. In live motion.
We're moving garbage from the dumpsters.
Exciting as always.
plume_030228_beerroom.avi (mpg) 2,25mb - 3,11mb
The beer room at work. It could equally well be called the soda room.
Case upon case of soda and beer. What heaven do you need, mortal?
If they ever fire me I'll steal the keys and lock myself in there.
plume_030224_walktowork1.avi (mpg) 21,6mb - 31,3mb plume_030225_walktowork2.avi (mpg) 23mb - 18,2mb
This is what it's all about. Completely utterly pointless in the extreme.
So boring you will gnaw your own arm off.
This is my walk to work. My entire walk to work.
I'm priviliged enough to live close to the Barn. The entire walk takes 8-10 minutes.
And you can live through that now. Maybe even get seasick from my swaying.
It's filmed over two days because my camera can only record 4-5 minutes at a time.
That's why it's suddenly very foggy in clip 2.
Think of it as surrealism. Or escapism. Or some other -ism.
Wouldn't you love to join me? I walk those steps every day. And again the next.
It's like being there yourself. And only 45 megabytes in all. Excellent.
plume_030225_bunny.avi (mpg) 1,57mb - 1,20mb
This is a short clip of Mr Bunny.
I've met him a couple of times on my way to/from work.
Funnily enough I'm always the one in a hurry.
sachacam.mov 4,48mb sacharennen.mov 4,57mb sachatuin.mov 4,69mb
Okay, this was supposed to be a page of my own videos.
But I can't resist this.
3 videos from my sweet Skye. Of her sweet, wonderful doggie. Sacha.
Isn't he the most beautiful and adorable thing you've ever seen?
I haven't even met him and still I can't help loving him.
The first one is him being very interested in Skye's camera.
The second one is him playing with a shoe. And suddenly running off. To the kitchen I think.
And the third is him walking outside. It's the brightest one, the other two are kind of dark.
Surrender. I'm more of a cat person. But I still had to.
plume_030221_hall.avi (mpg) 5,05mb - 6,27mb
And this is inside. The big hall. Although it doesn't appear to be that big.
But trust me it is. Especially when you have to sweep and wash it.
I spend a lot of my time in there. Hanging out. Working sometimes.
plume_030221_barnentrance.avi (mpg) 2,39mb - 3,31mb
Still playing around with the newfound video glory. This is my workplace.
See through my eyes as I walk inside. Thrilling.
If you've ever wanted to see an ex-barn turned community center then here's your chance.
plume_030221_cars.avi (mpg) 0,98mb - 0,99mb
A short clip of some cars going by.
It was made just to test the whole avi/mpeg/codec/encoding shebang.
plume_030219_1stmov.avi (mpg) 5,88mb - 6,59mb
This is the first ever movie I made. It's basically me pointing the camera at my computer
and waving it around. And some shots of my hand too. Extremely boring and pointless.
A standard I will try my best to follow.
The end. Visit Plume, sign the guestbook and so on.
